|History of the Practice|
The original equine practice began in the mid 1970's and transitioned into a partnership in 1993. In 2007 Dr. Templeton retired and Dr. Franklin has continued the practice with an associate through 2020. The practice remains as an ambulatory equine practice however the practice also serves clients with pet ruminant, camelid, potbelly pigs and other exotics. The practice services clients in Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties located in southeast Florida. My office and horse ranch is located in the western agricultural area called the Redland. The area lies between Biscayne National Park and Everglades National Park and is 45 minutes by car or boat to the Florida Keys.
