History of the Practice
The practice was established in the mid-1970's and purchased in 2017 by Dr. Kovalik. Revenue has nearly doubled since Dr. Kovalik purchased the practice and the clinic has a strong reputation in the community. Within a 5 mile radius of Sedona, the median household income is over $100,000. A majority of clients have the resources and willingness to invest in thorough diagnostics and treatments for their pets.
Sedona is a beautiful place to live. It is a high desert community surrounded by nearly two million acres of national forest containing red-rock buttes, canyons, and pine forests. It’s known for its mild climate, world-class hiking and mountain biking, and a vibrant arts community. The clinic itself has amazing red rock views and is just minutes away from numerous trailheads.
What makes this practice special/Major selling points
The clinic has enormous growth potential. There is more than enough demand for veterinary services within the community to expand hours, add doctors, or add services (alternative medicine, exotics, urgent care, and boarding are options). In addition, Sedona serves nearly 3 million visitors per year, many of whom bring pets with them. Currently, the clinic does little to serve the numerous visiting pets.
What might the next owner need to improve in this practice?
Currently the clinic has 2 exam rooms, so the biggest need is another exam room. The building has sufficient space to add exam rooms. Most of the equipment has been replaced in recent years, so it is modern and in good shape.
