The practice was established in 1988 by the current owner, Darlene Lannon, DVM. After 3 years at the original location the practice moved into a rented facility. After 20 years at that location the practice had outgrown the building and the current site was purchased and built upon. The increase of exam rooms and more space allowed for additional associates to be hired to meet the needs of an ever growing clientele. The facility is located at the end of a short but quiet lane off Halstead Blvd., a major thoroughfare of Elizabeth City. We have had 2 additional associates at times and there is definitely enough business to expand back to this level if you wish.
Elizabeth City is a mid-sized town of 30,000+ residents in northeastern NC on the Pasqoutank River. It is home to the largest Coast Guard Aviation base on the east coast. Coast Guard families are some our best clients. The town is a short drive (45 min. - 1hr.) from the Outer Banks of NC and the metropolitan area of Norfolk, Chesapeake, Portsmouth and Virginia Beach. Being on the Pasquotank River, the area has lots of recreation opportunities to enjoy on the water. The Great Dismal Swamp Wildlife Refuge/Dismal Swamp State Park are here for your enjoyment as well.

This is a great location not only for the business but for quality of life. The close proximity of the beach and large cities offers the best of both. Easy access to recreation, sporting events, concerts, museums in Hampton Roads and the beach, but without major traffic problems on a daily basis.
